Agricultural Projects

This is a big new idea for our team, but something we believe is really necessary!
Arua is a very agricultural area that prides itself on providing tasty produce such as tomatoes, cassava, beans & greens. Many of our families have small plots of land in different areas around their districts and others have big enough areas around their homes to begin little gardens. Farming is often not seen as a prosperous or ideal job for people here, although if it is done well it can be a great source of nutritious food and a great source of income for many people, without leaving the homes. 

We have invited some of our local friends who have a gifting and education in agriculture to join us in creating and undertaking trainings for each of our Sunflower families in effective agricultural work. 

We have a small plot of land at the back of our Guesthouse that is being primed for use as a demonstration area and we hope to begin this training in the coming months.
